On Friday, January 24th, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders High School Hockey Team will host their second-annual cancer fundraiser game against the Waterloo Warriors. Nearly everyone on the ice and in the stands has had their lives touched by cancer in one way or another and the RoughRiders Hockey Club is no exception. The goal of this game and fundraiser is to raise awareness and unite the hockey community to support cancer patients and their families. We have designed special sweatshirts for both RoughRider and Waterloo Warrior fans to purchase and the proceeds of each sale will be donated to the Helen Nassif Cancer Center in Cedar Rapids. In addition, there will also be a donation jar available for cash donations and/or you may donate via Venmo.LINK TO ORDER SWEATSHIRTS:

The online sweatshirt store will close on January 12th. All items will be printed and ready for pick up at the rink during the JV and Varsity games on January 24th. Please note that the billing first name and last name on the order will be used for pick-up. Sweatshirts will not be mailed and must be picked up on January 24. In the event you cannot attend the game, customers are welcome to designate an alternate pick-up person in the notes section of the order form. To help the distribution process go smoothly, please make sure the pick-up person is aware the orders will be sorted by billing name.
The Helen Nassif Cancer Center provides resources and education for cancer prevention, cancer screening, and coordinates care and support for current cancer patients. They also support patients and families through exercise wellness programs focusing on quality of life, provide family and caregiver support, and offer survivorship services after one's cancer journey.
