Hidden Treasures: A Closer look at prints and drawings from the Congdon Collection

Join Dr. Jennifer D. Webb from the University of Minnesota Duluth for a closer look at prints and drawings in Glensheen’s collection. Featured artists include Gustave Baumann, Knute Heldner, and Bertha Lum, whose works were highly sought after by collectors during the early twentieth century.
Participants will explore the artistic processes behind these works, learn about the artists’ careers, and examine materials from the Congdon Family Papers housed in UMD Archives and Special Collections. These archival materials provide insight into the personal relationships between the Congdon family and artists whose works became part of the estate’s collection.
When: July 30th, 6:30pm-8:00pm
