First Street Friday July 31

The City of Duluth’s Planning and Economic Development Department announces their second First Street Friday, following a successful inaugural event earlier this summer. First Street Friday is an exciting new activation event series in the downtown business district which invites community members to reimagine the First Street corridor.
First Street Friday will activate the First Street corridor and close First Street between First and Second Avenues W from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026 bringing the community together for a summer block party featuring:
• Live performances
• Night Market with local vendors
• The launch of the Discover First Street Passport program
A full schedule of activities and businesses present, as well as detour information, will be announced closer to the event.
The City of Duluth is proud to partner with the Duluth Economic Development Authority, Downtown Duluth, Lake Superior YMCA, and the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Urban Excellence Institute. Funding support of the Urban Excellence Institute was provided by the Knight Foundation Fund or Boreal Waters Community Foundation.
