Join the Woodbridge Public Library virtually February 27 at 7PM as we welcome author Alex Gulino on her journey throughout New Jersey, the Garden State, as she explores these forgotten properties and documents their decay. "Garden State of Discarded New Jersey" offers insight on the history and the current state of these defunct properties through poignant photographs. From Gothic churches in busy cities to forgotten aircraft in rural fields, observe the decomposition documented in these pages. See the beauty in decay that lives on in quiet desperation.

Presenter and Author: Alex Gulino is a New Jersey based photographer and three-time author. Focusing her photography primarily on landscapes and abandoned locations, Alex has picked up her camera in the name of adventure. Having been inspired by numerous urban explorers before her, Alex has traveled all around the northeast United States & beyond looking for her next hidden gem. Alex’s photography has been featured in numerous publications and venues such as Greenpoint Gallery, "Jersey City Times", "F-Stop Magazine", the Carteret Performing Arts & Event Center, 14C Art Fair, Monmouth County Art Alliance, and many more. Her latest book – "Jersey City: The Real Chilltown" – was released in spring 2023. When she isn’t busy shooting, you can find her in the outdoors where she feels most at home.
