There are two types of Hype Girls: the one who wants to win, and the one who wants the mic. This night is for both (and honestly, they're usually the same person.)
About Hype Girl Social Club
We're Melbourne's largest social community for women in their 20s and 30s, built around one simple idea: making real-life friends as an adult shouldn't be this hard. Every event is designed so you can walk in not knowing a soul and leave with people you'll actually text again.
We're taking over The Emerald Room, a private space at Oche Melbourne, for a night of Kara-oche and darts. Yes, karaoke. In the same room. Which means you can throw a bullseye and then immediately belt out a power ballad about it, duh.
The darts are digital, so you absolutely do not need to know what you're doing (we don't either tbh). The unique games are designed to be picked up in about ninety seconds, and there are enough formats that everyone finds one they're weirdly good at. And while you're resting your throwing arm, bust out your favourite tunes like you're playing sing star in your living room.
Your ticket includes:
- The Emerald Room, private to us for the night
- 2 hours of gameplay + Kara-Oche in the same space
- A drink on arrival
Run of show:
- Arrive, grab your drink on arrival, and get sorted into teams
- 2 hours of darts: rotating games, low stakes, high commitment
- Kara-oche all night
- Want to kick on? Stick around afterwards and head downstairs for the DJ set
Most people come to our events solo, and with a drink on arrival, we'll make sure no one's standing awkwardly alone. You'll leave wondering why you felt so nervous in the first place.
