20 Years of Ginga de Resiliência in Australia
In 2026, we celebrate a remarkable milestone: 20 years of Ginga de Resiliência in Australia and the Escola de Capoeira Angola Mato Rasteiro (ECAMAR).
For two decades, ECAMAR has been dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditions of Capoeira Angola while building community, culture, resilience, and connection across generations.
To honour this special occasion, we are proud to host the Melbourne edition of this celebration — a three-day gathering bringing together students, teachers, friends, and the wider Capoeira community.
We are especially honoured to welcome Mestre Roxinho, travelling directly from Ilha de Itaparica, Bahia (Brazil), to share his knowledge, experience, stories, and deep connection to Capoeira Angola.
This event is open to all schools, groups, students, and friends of Capoeira. Whether you are new to Capoeira or have been training for many years, we invite you to join us in celebrating two decades of ginga, resistência, and community.
