Have you ever desired non-traditional holiday photos for holiday cards or social media? Stand out this season and join the Salem Art Gallery on November 16th, 2024 from 2pm-6pm for an Alternative Holiday Photoshoot extravaganza! Use our decked halls to take your own holiday photos (free), or pay $25 per family to have professional photos taken by The Salem Art Gallery/Satanic Temple Salem. An ornamented winter wonderland with interactive exhibits and photoshoot sets awaits you this Holiday season. Go to salemartgallery.com to pre-purchase photoshoot tickets. This event will also feature hot cider, refreshments, and ornament-making. There are no specific appointments, so you may have some wait time for the photographer, but there will be plenty of Holiday fun and treats to enjoy while you wait.
$25= 5 professionally shot and edited photographs of you/your family. You can pay in person. Photos should arrive in the inbox of the email you list on the Google Form by 5:00pm on November 19th. Please feel free to contact [email protected] if you have any issues receiving the photographs.

HEXMAS is a Salem Art Gallery Exhibition that explores the lore of the Winter Holidays and their vast range of interpretations, including the Satanic Holiday, Sol Invictus, and many other winter myths and legends across the regions and throughout history. The Satanic Temple observes December 25th as Sol Invictus, a celebration of being unconquered by superstition and consistent in pursuing and sharing knowledge. The cult of Sol existed within Rome since its early days as a republic, and Invictus was an epithet used for Jupiter, Mars, and Apollo (among others). The festival celebrated these gods and may have also been used to celebrate the winter solstice.
