HERO HUMP 2026

HERO HUMP is 6-Mile Memorial Ruck March, carrying over 11,000 flags representing  Louisiana’s fallen heroes from the Revolutionary War to present day. The flags will  be delivered to The Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana (Chapter 1) as they prepare the  Memorial Day Garden of Flags at the Louisiana State Capitol Gardens.

We invite current and former members of the United States Armed Forces to register and join us in honoring and celebrating our Fallen. Family and Friends are invited to join other supporters near the finish line, also we encourage participants, their families, and friends to take part in the creation of the Garden of Flags.

The route will take us from the LSU Memorial Tower, to the Baton Rouge National Cemetery, then to the Memorial Plaza at the USS Kidd, and lastly the Louisiana State Capital Gardens.
