Dames Cave and Lizzie Heart Sink Loop Trail is located on Highway 491 south of Lecanto. This is a 3.9-mile loop that is dominated by many landforms, including caves. These caves are one of the oldest geological formations in Florida.Get on FL 589 North Suncoast Pkwy. Continue on FL 589 to Citrus Way/Rt 98/ W. Ponce De Leon Blvd exit and turn right. Continue to Citrus Way, the 3rd exit at the roundabout. Follow for approximately 2 miles past W Stage Coach Trail and look for cars parked on the right-hand side of the road. This is where we meet and park. If you go more than 2 miles past W Stage Coach Trail, you've gone too far!
Dogs are welcome and must be on a leash.
