Meet at 8:30 am at the carpark on Moondyne drive (turn off from Herdsman Parade at the southern end of the lake, east of the Discovery Centre). We will start our walk by taking a left and heading up to the Boardwalk before doubling back and heading up to Glendalough reserve. Herdsman lake is home to many waterbirds and bushbirds as well as multiple resident birds of prey. It occasionally plays host to elusive bitterns. This walk takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours, so bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.
