About this Event
Her Last Day in the U.S.- Premiere
Presented by TransLatin@ Coalition and The Center for Cultural Power.
Join Ibañez Productions and TransLatin@ Coalition for the powerful premiere of Her Last Day in the U.S., a moving short film by Armando Ibañez.
The film follows an elderly undocumented mother who, after nearly 40 years in the United States, makes the heartbreaking decision to return to her home country. Through an intimate and deeply human lens, Her Last Day in the U.S. explores themes of migration, belonging, sacrifice, identity, and the quiet strength of mothers whose stories too often remain unseen. It invites audiences to reflect on what it means to build a life in a place that may never fully claim you and what it costs to leave it behind.
