Circle of the High Sierras and the House of Zephyros (CHST's Greek/Hellenic temple) is pleased to announce the return of Hellenic Pathworking Classes for the fall of 2024!Hellenic Pathworking is open to anyone who would like to explore the intricate and rich Hellenic Religion. The classes will cover topics such as:
-Delphic Maxims: Greek Values
-Cosmology: Perception of the world and the generations of the gods
-Religious Practice: Divided into Public Religion, Household Worship, and Mystery or Initiatory Traditions, and how you operate within all three
-Magic and Divination: Including the rather tense relationship between the mainstream public religion, and the role of oracles
-Drama and Hellenic Culture/Religion
-Priests and Priesthood
-The Iliad and the Odyssey
-Precursors of Greek Culture: Minoan and Mycenaean cultures
-Political history of Greece; the city-state structure
-Expanded discussion of household and daily devotional practices
-”How to Greek Your House”
-Modes of offering and prayer
-Epithets and aspects of specific deities
Suggested donations of $10 help keep the temple space and available to all as we explore spirituality in a welcoming and communal setting.
