Australia’s World Record In The Sky – To Save Animals!Giant 6,006sqm Banner to Fly High for Animal Welfare – and EVERY Aussie Can Be Involved
Australia is set to make history with a World-Record-breaking aerial spectacle – all for a worthy cause!
On Thursday, 13 November (World Records Day), a huge 6,006sqm banner (larger than an NRL pitch) will soar across Sydney’s skies, aiming to raise $3M for Oz Happy Farm, which will become Australia’s newest and largest domestic animal sanctuary and rehoming centre.
A colossal Bell 412 heavy-lift helicopter, flanked by a fleet of eight more choppers, will tow the banner from Malabar over Bondi and Sydney Harbour.
Helicopter Banner Operations Manager, Jake Junakovic, says the world-first aerial marvel is a chance for EVERY Australian across the country to make history while raising millions for animals in need.
“Your name, pet, logo, car, family, message, you name it can fly high on the world’s biggest aerial banner in full digital printing – while saving Australia’s unwanted animals,” he says.
Modelled on Asha’s Farm Sanctuary in the US, Oz Happy Farm will be Australia’s largest domestic animal sanctuary and rehoming centre. It has earmarked its first site on the NSW South Coast offering on-site vet care, live-in staff and year-round events including stays, concerts and ‘Pups and Paths’ walks.
Thrill-seeking accountant-turned Oz Happy Farm Animal manager Bree Adams says, “Thousands of animals are in crisis. We can’t wait to bust shelter dogs out of death row and give all animals a second chance.
“This isn’t just about a World Record – it’s a nationwide movement to show the world what Australians can achieve when we come together.”
The bold mission is an all-Australian feat, with Aussie pilots and crews flying the banner, and it’s being printed and constructed by local family-run businesses. Jake adds, “This World Record showcases the nation’s ingenuity that all Australians can be proud of.”
