HEARTIKAL DUB SESSION #8
Heartikal Dub Session revient pour une 8ème édition, et cette fois-ci on frappe fort : une véritable réunion de sound systems. Deux crews, deux villes, deux chanteurs, une seule nuit vouée au reggae et au dub. Chaque crew débarque avec sa propre sono artisanale pour faire vibrer Le Ministère toute la nuit.

Bless Up Soundsystem (Hamilton / Toronto, ON) feat. Nkrumah
Nouvelle puissance incontournable de l'Ontario, ce crew débarque avec une philosophie : propager des vibrations positives et militantes. Armés de leur redoutable système de sonorisation fait main de 15 000 watts, JahM Joule et Reuben Ras sont reconnus pour leurs sessions vinyles « Roots & Culture » d'une intensité rare.
Au chant, Nkrumah (Toronto, ON) — voix de baryton unique et figure montante du reggae conscient au Canada. Acclamé à l'international pour ses sorties vinyles percutantes sur Shella Records (comme le classique underground Congo), ce véritable maître du micro vient prêter son énergie et son charisme pour faire exploser la piste de danse.
Fox High Soundsystem (Montréal) feat. Rook
Passionnés de sound system UK, Renard Dub et RootyBé forment depuis 2022 le FoxHigh Soundsystem. Ils diffusent leur passion de la musique à travers leur sound system fait maison, avec des sélections allant des early days du reggae jusqu'aux dernières productions UK Dub, sans oublier leurs propres créations venues tout droit du FoxHigh studio.
Au chant, ils accueillent Rook (Dub Permanence). Producteur montréalais et figure très active de la scène soundsystem, Rook enchaîne les sorties et porte le Dub Permanence, événement dédié aux sonos artisanales locales.
Habitué à mener la danse au micro, notamment sur ses Sessions À l'Air Libre sur des riddim signés de Dubmatix, Alpha Steppa, Mat Fx ou Atili, il vient cette fois poser sa voix avec le FoxHigh.

Heartikal Dub Session is back for its 8th edition — and this time it's a proper sound system meeting. Two crews, two cities, two singers, one night dedicated to reggae and dub. Each crew brings its own hand-built sound system, to shake Le Ministère's walls all night !

Bless Up Soundsystem (Hamilton / Toronto, ON) feat. Nkrumah
Ontario's essential new powerhouse, this crew arrives with a clear philosophy: to spread positive, militant vibrations. Armed with their formidable 15,000-watt hand-built sound system, JahM Joule and Reuben Ras are known for their rare-intensity "Roots & Culture" vinyl sessions.
On vocals, Nkrumah (Toronto, ON) — a unique baritone voice and rising figure of conscious reggae in Canada. Internationally acclaimed for his hard-hitting vinyl releases on Shella Records (including the underground classic Congo), this true master of the mic brings his energy and charisma to set the dancefloor ablaze.
Fox High Soundsystem (Montreal) feat. Rook
UK sound system enthusiasts Renard Dub and RootyBé have been running FoxHigh Soundsystem since 2022. Using their home-built sound system, they share their passion for music with selections ranging from the early days of reggae to the latest UK Dub productions — not forgetting their own creations straight out of the FoxHigh studio, in a Digital and Stepper style that's sure to move you!
On vocals, they welcome Rook (Dub Permanence). A Stepper (UK) producer and highly active figure on the soundsystem scene, Rook releases track after track and runs Dub Permanence, an event dedicated to local hand-built sound systems. Used to leading the dance on the mic — notably on his Sessions À l'Air Libre alongside Dubmatix, Alpha Steppa, Mat Fx and Atili — this time he comes to lay down his vocals with FoxHigh.
