Are you ready for a paint party with intention? Join Athaliah and Katie for a restorative and inspiring experience. heART & Yoga Reflections are created to help deepen your connection with self through creative expression, mindful yoga, and meditation.
These sessions are open to everyone. No prior painting or yoga experience is needed. We invite you to arrive with open minds and hearts as we explore the theme of Rebirth together.
Rebirth is the process of beginning again. Just as nature moves through seasons of release, renewal, and growth, we too experience moments in life that ask us to soften, let go, reconnect, and rediscover ourselves in new ways. Sometimes rebirth comes through major life transitions, and sometimes it begins quietly through small shifts in awareness, perspective, intention, or in how we care for ourselves.
This experience is designed to offer space for reflection, creativity, movement, and mindful presence as we explore what may be ready to emerge within this next season of life.
Through yoga, meditation, journaling, and painting, we’ll create an environment that encourages curiosity, inspiration, and authentic expression.
Join Katie and Athaliah for a guided painting, yoga, and meditation experience designed to support reflection, renewal, and reconnection.
What to Expect:
• guided yoga class to help open the body, mind, and heart
• guided painting session
• 16x20 painting to take home
• all supplies included
• light refreshments provided
• reflective journaling & mindfulness prompts
• closing meditation inspired by the theme of rebirth
About Your Teachers:
Katie Beene, co-owner of Lotus Pond, brings a deep love for yoga to every class she teaches. She guides students of all levels through a variety of yoga styles, from group sessions to personalized 1:1 practices designed to meet individual needs. Katie’s teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is for everyone, whether you're seeking physical strength, mental clarity, or emotional balance. A lover of nature and mindfulness, Katie finds inspiration in the world around her, bringing a grounded, holistic approach to her yoga practice both on and off the mat. She enjoys cross-training in dance and sports, always infusing her movement with the wisdom of yoga. Her classes are a space for growth, self-discovery, and connection, where students are encouraged to explore their own path with curiosity and compassion. Katie believes in the power of yoga to transform lives, and her teaching reflects her commitment to sharing these practices in an accessible, warm, and supportive way.
Athaliah Edwards-Sedra, PMP (Project Management) & FSA (Sustainability Accounting) certified, lived in two countries and six U.S. cities before proudly making Tampa home. She creates art that draws from her life experiences often intermingled with elements of nature, inspired by her Caribbean upbringing. Her journey as an artist began by watching her dad in early years and studying 2D disciplines during college. She is ever a student of life, and explores creative expression outside of art including dance, poetry and more recently – learning to play the harp. Creative expression, much like yoga and meditation, creates the space for her to pause and reflect, balancing the impact of everyday stressors we all encounter. She hopes to create this space for others to do the same.
