Healthy Steps to Fitness
About this Event
Join Dr. Lena and Healthy Steps to Fitness for an interactive strength training and wellness event focused on helping people better understand the connection between movement, metabolism, inflammation, hormones, and overall health.
This event will begin with a guided introductory resistance training workout led by Healthy Steps to Fitness designed for all fitness levels. Exercises will include modifications, substitutions, adequate rest time, and beginner-friendly instruction so attendees feel comfortable, supported, and empowered regardless of experience level.
Following the workout, Dr. Lena will lead a 15–20 minute educational discussion covering:
• the impact resistance training has on metabolism and insulin resistance
• why strength training matters for hormone health and longevity
• how movement influences inflammation and overall health
• why exercise is about much more than just weight loss
• how chronic stress impacts the body physically and metabolically
Attendees will also enjoy pre/post-workout refreshments including protein shakes, protein bars, water, and electrolytes.
