Create Your World: A 4-Week Sandtray Workshop Series

About this Event

Join Amanda Baird, LCSW, RPT, for Create Your World, a fun and creative 4-week sandtray workshop series designed for kids ages 8-12.

In this small-group workshop, children will use sand, miniatures, sensory tools, sand tools, drawing, and workbook reflections to create their own sand worlds while exploring creativity, calming skills, strengths, imagination, and self-expression.

Each child will participate independently in the workshop room while a parent or guardian remains on-site in the waiting area. No art skills or sandtray experience are needed. There is no right or wrong way to create.

Workshop Length: 1 hour 30 minutes per session
Series: 4 weekly sessions
Dates: July 11th, July 18th, July 25th, and August 1st
Time: Saturdays, 3:30PM - 5:00PM

Workshop Series Includes
Week 1: Sand Explorers

Children will explore the sand, sensory ball, breathing, and sand tools. This week helps children settle in, notice textures, create calming patterns, and get comfortable with their own tray.

Week 2: Miniature Magic

Children will choose miniatures that stand out to them and explore how small objects can represent strengths, supports, feelings, ideas, imagination, and personal meaning.

Week 3: Build Your World

Children will create a larger sand world using miniatures, sand tools, space, story, movement, and choice. They will reflect on what their world needs, what feels important, and what they want to remember.

Week 4: Carry Your Strengths

Children will create a final sand world and reflect on the strengths, supports, calming tools, and reminders they want to carry forward after the series.

Registration

Early Bird Series Pass - $140
Includes all 4 weekly Sandtray Workshop sessions. Limited early bird pricing available until 6/20/2026.

General Admission Series Pass - $180
Includes all 4 weekly Sandtray Workshop sessions at $45 per session.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. Due to limited seating and prepared materials for this 4-week workshop series, refunds are not available after purchase.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another child attendee (ages 8-12) by contacting the organizer before the first workshop.

If the series is canceled by the organizer, attendees will receive a refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future series.

Parent/Guardian Waiting Policy

For the ages 8-12 workshop series, a parent or guardian must remain on-site in the waiting area for the duration of the workshop. Parents will not participate in the workshop room unless support is needed or prior arrangements have been made.

Important Note

This is a creative and reflective workshop series and is not therapy or a substitute for mental health treatment. Although I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist, my role in this event is to facilitate the workshop experience. Participation does not create a therapist-client relationship.
