This in-person program provides pesticide applicators, landscape and green industry professionals, with information and practical skills for maintaining healthy Florida landscapes. Participants will learn to manage palm health, identify and manage common palm pests and diseases, and implement integrated pest management practices for the establishment and maintenance of Florida native plants.
The program also includes FDACS CORE pesticide safety training, covering pesticide labels, personal protective equipment (PPE), environmental protection, pesticide stewardship, and regulatory requirements. Attendees will leave with the knowledge needed to make informed management decisions that protect plants, people, pollinators, and the environment while maintaining healthy and resilient landscapes.
