Health Professionals Community Debrief - Western Sydney

If you are a healthcare worker based in Western Sydney and have been impacted by recent and on-going socio-political events, then this community debrief is for you. We acknowledge that recent local and global events have contributed to distress, vicarious trauma and pressure across healthcare services. Educaid AU has partnered with Parramatta Medicare Mental Health Centre to provide an opportunity for healthcare workers to reflect and debrief within a culturally safe and confidential space. You will also be able to connect with other healthcare workers and learn how to better manage your well-being, support others during challenging times and learn about potential referral pathways for support. The community debrief will be faciliated by a qualified mental health worker. Lunch will also be provided!

Key Objectives of Community Debrief:

• Support wellbeing of frontline/service providers in the current climate
• Provide a culturally safe, structured space for reflection and debrief
• Acknowledge layered impacts (local critical incidents + global distress) on communities and workers
• Strengthen connection between services and culturally responsive approaches
