Healing the Activist Heart: Surviving the Holidays
About this Event
The holiday season can be a challenging time for vegans and it’s easy to feel isolated during what should be a festive time of year.
But you don’t have to do it alone.
Join us for an interactive, empowering workshop designed to give you the somatic tools and connection you need to protect your peace and enjoy the holidays to the fullest.
After the workshop, we will celebrate together with a spectacular holiday lunch crafted by the chefs at Au Lac:
- Chinoise Salad - soy chicken, chopped cabbage, oranges, wonton crisps, brazil nuts, cilantro and scallions with yuzu and gomasio vinaigrette.
- Garlic Basil Noodles - rice noodles, apple sage vegan sausage, baked garlic cloves, kale, pine nuts, nutritional yeast, spiced olive oil, thai basil & natural sriracha.
- Octopus - tenderized shiitake mushrooms battered in tapioca flour with sweet & savory tamari-sesame glaze. topped by jalapeño, bell pepper & chinese chives. served over black rice and cucumber.
- NY Cheesecake - rich cheesecake filling, vanilla crust, fruit compote, oat whipped cream & sprinkles
Give yourself the gift of vegan community, nervous system support, and incredible food. You deserve a joyful holiday season!
Only 40 seats are available - we do have a suggested donation of $25 which can be paid here though nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds.
