About this Event
Using various instruments, vocalizations, and sometimes song this soundbath encourages deep rest and relaxation. Students are taught the five healing sounds from medical qigong theory and invited to lay down to recieve the remainder of the sound and guided deep rest (Yoga Nidra).
Yoga Nidra, also known as “Yogic Sleep” is a technique used for nervous system regulation and deep healing. When the body is systematically guided through the 9 steps the brain’s waves change to their theta cycle, the same as if we are dreaming. Theta waves connect us with our intuition, creativity, and are a repository for memories, emotions, and sensations. During the process, stuck or stagnant energy is encouraged to flow using a qi (energy) hovering-hand healing technique similar to reiki, no touch is required.
Students are encouraged to prepare for a sound bath - bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket for your comfort. Optional essential oils offered at the close of our time.
