Healing Our Lands

Capitol View, like many Black and brown communities, has been subject to ongoing environmental rascism that has polluted the land. We knew when we purchased the open lot on dill for the Community Stewardship Trust that the soil was contaminated.

We’re working with @liberationarchitect to make this space healthier by planting sunflowers—native plants that remove toxins and heavy metals and rebalance soil ecology.
