You've heard that "The Body Keeps the Score", but how do we care for our bodies as well as our minds when it comes to healing and recovery? This 90 minute movement class is an introduction to somatic healing, or healing within the body. We will learn how to gently connect with our bodies, become aware of how our bodies communicate with us, and practice expressing emotions through breath and movement rather than talking. This class is open to adults age 18+ of all levels and abilities. No equipment is necessary, but you may want to bring a comfort item like a soft blanket, a mat, or an item that helps you feel soothed. Please dress comfortably.
Lindsey Horvatich is a licensed trauma therapist in both Florida and Tennessee. She has over a decade of experience working in community health and private practice, and specializes in complex trauma, relationships, and generational healing.
