Heading over to the Lakes

Come along on our 7 mile evening ride for women only. We'll be heading over to the leafy, green and scenic lakesides of Colwick Lakes. The route is mostly flat and we'll be taking it at a nice and steady pace, using cycle lanes, greenways and some easy off-road sections.

We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back!

You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.

This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.

You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
