Science is humanity’s eternal companion, a torch that has been illuminating our path throughout the ages. From the first flicker of fire struck by stone to the dazzling glow of stars in distant galaxies, every epoch of science has carried us further on our shared journey of understanding. This year, 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 [𝙷𝙲𝙲𝚂𝙲] invites you to traverse that journey with us at the “𝟐𝟑𝒓𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓-𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓” under the MOTTO “𝑨𝑪𝑹𝑶𝑺𝑺 𝑬𝑷𝑶𝑪𝑯𝑺 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑬𝑶𝑵𝑺, 𝑪𝑼𝑹𝑰𝑶𝑺𝑰𝑻𝒀 𝑹𝑬𝑴𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑺 𝑯𝑼𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑻𝒀'𝑺 𝑩𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑬𝑺𝑻 𝑭𝑳𝑨𝑴𝑬.”
Science is not merely a collection of discoveries. It is a journey across epochs, where each tick of the clock marks humanity’s rise from the ground to the stars. Our theme this year, “𝑬𝑷𝑶𝑪𝑯𝑺 𝑶𝑭 𝑺𝑪𝑰𝑬𝑵𝑪𝑬: 𝑭𝑹𝑶𝑴 𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑵𝑬𝑺 𝑻𝑶 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑹𝑺”, honours this odyssey.
From the Stone Age, where fire and tools were first used to bend nature to human will, to the Bronze and Iron Ages, where civilizations forged weapons and written records: the clock of knowledge began its steady march. The Classical-Medieval Age began with philosophy developing from speculation to logic, astronomy from sky-watching to geometric models, biology from myths of life to Aristotle’s first dissections. It was when alchemists sought gold but instead laid the foundations of chemistry, and Islamic and European scholars preserved and expanded Greek wisdom.
Eventually with the Scientific Revolution during the Renaissance, the clock struck a new hour, as Copernicus moved the Earth, Galileo moved the heavens, Newton moved the world. Science became an engine of both thought and transformation. Every tick of the clock signalled a leap forward.
The Industrial Age saw the birth of factories and railroads. Philosophy matured into social sciences, biology into evolution and genetics. The 20th Century Age of Modern Science unlocked the atom, decoded DNA, and finally, humanity left for the moon.
And now, in the Digital and Space Age, we stand at the edge of stars, charting galaxies, decoding consciousness, probing black holes and asking questions our ancestors could never dream of. The epochs remind us: every end is a beginning, every tick of the clock pushes us forward.
But science is more than just reaching the stars. The beauty of science lies in asking the questions no one ever dared to ask. What ignited the first flame? What lies beyond what we can see? Every discovery has only fuelled more questions, and every question has carried humanity forward. There is no end goal, only curiosity and exploration.
With this in mind, 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 [𝙷𝙲𝙲𝚂𝙲] proudly presents the 𝟐𝟑𝒓𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓-𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. This fest is not only a competition, but also a journey. 1) Participants must be in their respective institutes' uniforms.
2) Participants must bring their ID cards.
3) The decision of the authority would be deemed final in every circumstance.
4) HCCSC would hold the right to disqualify any participant if any offence is reported against them.

1)It is a team-based segment & each team can be formed with maximum of 3 members.
2)The members should be from the same institution as a particular team.
3)The segment would be conducted in 2 rounds: Preliminary round & final round. The preliminary round would be a written quiz.The qualifying teams of this round would move on to the final round which would be a buzzer round.
4)Teams cannot use any communication devices or take help from the internet during the segment.📵
5)Any unfair means by the team members during the rounds would result in silent disqualification.

A math relay is a fast-paced, team-based competition where participants solve a series of math problems in succession, passing the baton—figuratively or literally—to the next teammate after each correct solution. It blends speed, accuracy, and collaboration, often under timed conditions, making it both thrilling and intellectually demanding. Each member contributes their strengths, whether in algebra, geometry, or logic, creating a dynamic environment that celebrates teamwork and mathematical agility. The starting line is calling – let’s see, who is up for a speedy showdown. Are you in?!

1)A team consisting of 3 members from the same institution can participate in this segment.
2)A mathematical problem will be given to the first contestant to solve it within a limited time.⏱
3)After doing so, volunteers will pass the answer of the first question and another problem to the second contestant. You will have to use the first answer to solve the second problem.
4)The same process is applicable in case of the third contestant.
5)Respecting the time limit, the team solving most questions correctly will be the winner of this segment.
6)The use of calculators is strictly prohibited.
7)Teams cannot use any communication devices or take help from the internet during the segment.📵
8)Any unfair means by the team members during the rounds would result in immediate disqualification.⚠

It is not just about showing the outcomes; it is about sparking inquisitiveness, sharing your thoughts & inspiring others to think, ask & explore. Every chart, model or explanation is a window into your creativity and dedication. Let your project do the rest of the talking!!

1)Projects must be related to the subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, IT, Geography & Psychology.
2)In this team-based segment each team can be formed with maximum of 3 members.
3)Members of a team must be from the same institution.
4)One team is allowed to display only one project.
5)Themes for projects are open but they must be science-based.
6)Model-based & functional projects, both are allowed.
7)Participants are requested to bring all the necessary materials for displaying their projects.
8)All the members of a team are requested to be present during the display & judgement session.
9)Lack of discipline may result in disqualification.
10)The instalment & display of a project should be completely harmless to college infrastructure & visitors of the fest.⚠ Failure to this rule can result in instant disqualification.

A scrapbook is a vibrant canvas of memories, creativity & personal expression. It is where photos, notes, doodles and keepsakes come together to tell your story ~ irrespective of it's being a journey, a celebration or a collection of information that matters. Each page is a reflection of your imagination, capturing everything in a way that words alone cannot. From glitter & glue to heartfelt captions, let your scrapbook be something truly unforgettable.
➡𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨
1)Maximum 2 members from the same institute can form a team to participate in it.
2)The concept for preparing a scrapbook is open but it has to be science-based.
3)Both Bangla & English languages can be used in a scrapbook. But make sure not to use both at the same time.
4)There is no page limit. Contestants may use as many pages as they need to reflect the theme.
5)The members must be present during the judgement session & answer the questions asked by the respectable judges.
6)Participants need to bring their accessories.
7)All the team members are required to be present at the scheduled time & arrange the set at a particular place.

Can you name a creative bulletin that is able to speak without a voice? Yes, a wall magazine. It is where ideas, art & opinions collide in one bold visual space ~ inviting every passer-by to pause, read and acknowledge. Therefore, this pinned paper can be a living showcase of your thought.

1)This is a team-based segment & each team can be formed with maximum 2 members belonging to the same institution.
2)Wall magazines can be prepared in both Bangla & English, but the mixture of languages is not allowed.
3)Wall magazine must illustrate a specific view & idea. Additionally it must be science-based.
4)Teams need to be present at the given time, set up their works, be active during the judgement & must remember to explain the topics to the visitors nicely.
5)Harm to college infrastructure & lack of discipline can definitely be the causes of disqualification.⚠

Imagine yourself working in a laboratory & experimenting with elements & compounds to discover how things really work!! Doesn't it sound cool?? In this segment, you can put your practical knowledge to an intriguing test & find out what it would feel like to be an actual scientist.

1)Teams made up of a maximum of 2 members of the same institute can participate in this segment.
2)The main target for this segment is to showcase students' critical thinking ability, problem-solving skills & practical knowledge of scientific theories.
3)All necessary elements for this particular competition will be provided by HOLY CROSS COLLEGE SCIENCE CLUB [HCCSC].

We invite you all to break your own record in a game called 'Crack The Cube'. Compete with other cube heads and show your skills, taking the chance to be on stage & charm everyone with your moves.

1)Participants are kindly requested to bring their 3x3 Rubik's Cube.
2)Scramble will be done by volunteers & this scramble will NOT follow any algorithm or specific technique which means it to be totally random.
3)The use of lubricant is discouraged.
