This is a very special day for Hawthorn RSL, and we’d love you to be part of it.
After years of planning, fundraising and an extraordinary amount of work by our volunteers and supporters, we’re opening our doors to celebrate two major milestones for our sub-branch.
We will formally unveil our updated Hawthorn Cenotaph, which now recognises a new generation of Australian service by including more recent operational deployments.
We’ll also officially open our newly renovated sub-branch and invite our members, veterans, families, friends and the wider community inside to see the transformation for themselves.
For more than a century, Hawthorn RSL has been part of this community. Our responsibility is not simply to preserve that history, but to ensure the RSL continues to recognise and serve every generation of Australian veterans.
The day will bring together veterans, serving ADF members, their families, representatives from ex-service organisations, community leaders and representatives from across the political spectrum.
Whether you’ve been part of Hawthorn RSL for years, have recently joined us, only seen us online, have served, have family who served, or simply want to see what your local RSL has become, you are very welcome.
