HAS-Motion UK User Group Meeting 2026

HAS-Motion's 2026 UK User Group Meeting brings together biomechanics researchers, engineers, and clinical innovators. What they have in common is a desire to share knowledge and explore the science of human motion.

This year's program has a focus on the work being done today to bring biomechanics outside the lab. Topics covered include:

• The challenges, pitfalls, and opportunities of commercializing technologies related to motion capture
• How to share motion capture data with other labs
• Marker-based and markerless approaches to paediatric 3D gait analysis
• Translating biomechanics research into real-world practice using an adaptive systems perspective

In addition to HAS-Motion's Scott Selbie and Sydney Garrah, this meeting features speakers from across the UK:

• Tina Smith (University of Wolverhampton)
• Henrike Greaves (Alder Hey Children's Hospital)
• Paul Felton (Nottingham Trent University)

This year's meeting also features workshops covering new features and best practices for both Visual3D and Sift:

• Using Virtual and Shadow Segments in your Visual3D Model
• Starting from Scratch with Sift
• Best Practices for Visual3D Pipeline Development
• Automating Analysis with Sift's Console Application
