Artists’ bio:
Buzz Kull:
Buzz Kull exists as an enigmatic force in the Australian underground scene, he embodies the raw essence of existential longing and emotional desolation. With a sonic palette that paints in shades of darkness, Buzz Kull's music unveils the hidden depths of the human psyche with haunting precision. Drawing inspiration from the fringes of post-punk, coldwave, and minimal wave, Buzz Kull weaves together pulsating synths, relentless drum machines, and haunting vocals that becomes a vessel for catharsis, a conduit for the unspoken yearnings and existential questions that weigh heavy on the human spirit. Through Buzz Kull’s exploration in sound, they invite us to embrace our own vulnerabilities, to confront the demons that lurk within, and to find solace in the beauty of misery. In a world obsessed with surface appearances, Buzz Kull reminds us that the true depths of the human experience can only be discovered by diving into the dark
Bodies of divine infinite + eternal spirit:
bodies of divine infinite and eternal spirit’ is an experimental sound group of circular collaborators. The project focuses on improvisation and repetition as access points for spiritual engagement. The group does not believe in genre.
Npcede:
In a perfect world, Npcede wouldn't exist
Sinister Minister:
Sinister Minister is the solo project of Cold/Heat frontman John Hynd.
He plays live electronic/ techno music with the intention of knocking on locked doors, exploring faded memories and a past tried forgotten.
He plays Minister to that which is Sinister.
Promaja:
Promaja (Pronounced Pro-My-Uh) are a Naarm/Melbourne/Australian based post-punk outfit featuring members of Pleasure Symbols, Bcharre بشرّي, Zipper, Silicone Prairie et al.
Bravo Brava is Promaja's debut album. The record is 33 minutes of slouching towards the hubris of modernity. The resulting eight tracks both propel and engulf, showcasing a sound that’s angular and urgent. Marked by acerbic vocals, guitars that oscillate between cascading turns and sharp abrasive stabs, while underpinned by sinewy bass and propulsive drums, firmly echoing Bravo Brava’s lyrical intersections of the battles of modern existence.
Millimetre Wave:
Millimetre Wave is a project by Scott Mclatchie that explores electronic music through a lens of micro aesthetics largely focused on utopian scholastic concepts. trying to find a messy intersection between past technology and contemporary technology in a meta type way. Not focused on an idea of nostalgia but swinging in the irony and sincerity of it as well as having never performed as an electronic musician but always being involved in the world of it.
acoldcell:
acoldcell is the result of experiments with audio reactive glitches and visual outputs of broken programming. Something to look at while the world collapses.
This event will take place on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to all Elders, past and present, and acknowledge the community’s resilience in the face of the ongoing impacts of colonisation. Sovereignty has never been ceded.
