This free community event with Certified Sound Healer, Vera Chapman, blends the art of music with the power of meditation.
About this Event

Just as music moves through us, so does the energy of the natural world--inviting balance, renewal, and harmony.

Sponsored by the Lewiston Council on the Arts, this free community event with Certified Sound Healer, Vera Chapman, blends the art of music with the power of meditation, offering a space to slow down, listen, and reconnect--with yourself and with the rhythms of the Earth.

Through the resonant tones of crystal singing bowls, gongs and other instruments, this immersive sound bath will guide you into a state of deep relaxation and reflection.

No experience needed--just an open heart and a desire to unwind.

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and a journal.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply immersive healing experience designed to promote relaxation and healing through sound. Many participants enter a meditative state, where thoughts slow down, and a sense of peace and stillness envelops you. Time may seem to stretch, and you might lose track of it entirely. You might feel the vibrations of the sound traveling through your body, creating a sense of resonance and alignment. Some people experience tingling sensations, deep relaxation, or even a sense of weightlessness. Following the session, you’ll likely feel a profound sense of calm, clarity, and rejuvenation. It’s common to leave with a greater sense of balance and well-being, as the frequencies have helped release tension and energetic blocks.

Who is facilitating the sound bath?

Vera Chapman is a Reiki Master Teacher and Energy Coach who helps women identify, clear, and heal blocked energy so they can move through grief and trauma, and become joyfully present in their lives again. She is a Board Certified Coach, Certified Sound Healer, Certified Yoga Teacher, and proud mama of two living children and one in the stars. She holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and a Ph.D in Education. She has healed from deep grief and sexual trauma using the modalities she now teaches, and has authored a children's book and healing affirmation cards to support grieving women and their families. Most importantly, she's on a mission to make energy healing accessible to everyone. Learn more at veravchapman.com.
