Music City Roots at Harken Hall is set for Wednesday, September 30, featuring Nether Hour, Henhouse Prowlers, The Steel Wheels and Rebecca Frazier.

These artists bring incredible musicianship and storytelling for an unforgettable evening celebrating country, folk, bluegrass, and Americana music.

Nether Hour is a trio of unapologetic rebels from Austin, TX, each one a powerhouse of sonic defiance. Bobby Flaco delivers gritty vocals and razor-sharp guitar riffs, while Bishop unleashes searing lead guitar and mandolin work. Nether Hour is a relentless sonic melting pot, fusing the swampy grooves of Louisiana with Texas-sized doses of funk, blues, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll.

The Henhouse Prowlers have played music in more than 25 countries, from performing Oawwali music in Pakistan to traditional Tatar songs in Siberia. Their music brings different cultures together, demonstrating that people have a lot in common beyond music.

The Steel Wheelers started as an all-acoustic group and slowly incorporated more electronics and produced elements into their sound, creating a surprising mix that’s hard to resist. They tap into various genres of music, from bluegrass, gospel and blues to pop, country and rock.

Groundbreaking guitarist Rebecca Frazier brings a high-energy, female-led bluegrass-and-beyond show featuring award-winning musicianship and songwriting, with nods to traditional bluegrass and the Grateful Dead. The Virginia native became the first woman to earn a Guitar Performer of the Year nomination from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, an honor she received again in 2019.

Music City Roots celebrates great musicians, amazing acoustics, and the thrill of live performances. The format includes performances and interviews with each artist. Legendary artist Jim Lauderdale will serve as host, Keith Bilbrey will return as announcer and Ranger Doug Green of Riders in the Sky will interview each artist.

Born as a live radio show and now a nationally recognized television series, Music City Roots has a long-standing partnership with WMOT 89.5 FM in the Murfreesboro-Nashville area.

The showcase is set for Wednesday, September 30, and doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. concert. Tickets start at $25 and are now on sale at https://www.harkenhall.com/. Harken Hall is located at 514 Madison Station Blvd., Madison, TN 37115, just 11 minutes from downtown Nashville.

Complimentary parking is available, and food and beverages may be purchased throughout the evening.
