Step into the heart of Geraldton’s working waterfront with Harbour Lights, a powerful new exhibition by acclaimed local artist Phil Doncon.Celebrating the Midwest Port Authority and the industries that shape our coastal town, this latest collection captures the movement, colour, and character of Geraldton’s bustling harbour. From tugboats guiding towering ships into port, to rail lines carrying materials inland, Phil brings to life the often-overlooked beauty of the working port that sits at the centre of our community.
Infused with his signature sunset palette and expressive style, the collection contrasts heavy industry with the warmth and light of Geraldton skies. Glowing horizons, reflections across the water, weathered vessels, cranes, tracks, and harbour lights all come together to tell the story of a town deeply connected to the sea.
Both deeply local and visually striking, Harbour Lights offers a fresh perspective on the Midwest coastline - not only the beaches and open ocean we know so well, but also the energy, grit, and rhythm of the port that keeps Geraldton moving.
Featuring a range of original artworks in various sizes and mediums, this exhibition invites collectors, locals, and visitors alike to experience the spirit of Geraldton through Phil Doncon’s eyes.
Join us for the opening of the exhibition on Sunday 31st May and Monday 1st June, over the WA Day Long Weekend, from 9:30am – 3:30pm both days.
