Hapé Ceremony

Hapé is a medicine of cleansing and grounding. Its traditions originate in Colombia and Peru.

It is known to cleanse panema which is a South American word for “dark thoughts and spiritual attachments”. Hapé binds to these toxins both subtle and physical and removes them via prayer and neurochemistry.

A powder composed of a tobacco called mapacho and blessed plants such as sacred tree ash are blown into the sinus cavity for a myriad of benefits.

A sacred space is created and intentions are set for the meditation that accompanies the blessing.
