Between the 1950s and 90s, Hanna and Gabriel Rechowicz worked with outstanding Polish architects – Bohdan Pniewski, Jerzy Hryniewiecki, Mieczysław Gliszczyński, Jerzy Baumiller and Maria and Kazimierz Piechotka – on murals, mosaiscs, and other monumental design in the public domain.
Their famous creations in own technique (river pebbles, ceramic waste and mortar) included the cocktail bar at Bristol Hotel, murals and mosaics at Dom Chłopa, the interior of Supersam in Warsaw as well as projects in other Polish cities and international exhibition pavilions.
The exhibition opening also marks the 100th birthday of Hanna Rechowicz.
