Handmade Paper Workshop
Join IAA Board Member, Trish Dodson, at her home studio to learn basic paper making techniques and how to use your samples in art and collages.
This one-day workshop is great for beginners and the experienced artist alike.

When, where, and how much?
This class will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Trish's home, located at 33 Jeffrey Street in Indiana, PA.
Class is from 11am to 4pm (with a 30-minute break for lunch).
$60 for IAA Members and $75 for non-members.
Please note, the sign-up deadline is Friday, June 10, 2026. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Supplies:
Trish will supply screens and paper pulp.
What should you bring?
Cloth Towels (to take home your wet paper)
Small Screens in a Frame (if you have one)
Items to add to your paper (dried flowers, ribbon, string, yarn, etc)
Bagged Lunch

Any student 13+ are welcome.

About Trish Dodson:
Trish received her Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from IUP; later earning a Master's of Arts in Fiber, working with handmade paper, and minoring in woodworking. She enjoys drawing, painting with acrylics, printmaking and making handmade paper.
Trish taught art for ARIN Intermediate Unit as an itinerant and has taught at both Blairsville Elementary and Middle School, as well as teaching high school students.
She also established the Indiana Art Association's Summer Arts
Camp, which she administered for 26 years. Other experiences include teaching art to seniors at the Kittanning Care Center and teaching art for the Staff Studio in Blairsville.
She continues to enjoy making and teaching art to students even after retiring in 2021.
