Handmade Gift Swap + Tote Bag Decorating
About this Event
Come spend the afternoon making, swapping, and celebrating the things we create with our own two hands!
How it works
Each person will bring nine small, unwrapped handmade gifts. We’ll gather everything on one big table and take turns choosing in three rounds. You’ll pick three items each round and leave with nine handmade items from fellow makers.
Between rounds, decorate a canvas tote bag with fabrics, markers, and stamps, help yourself to snacks and drinks, and get to know the people around you. There will be time to hear about what everyone brought and admire each other’s handiwork, too!
What to make
Anything you enjoy making! Mini prints, small ceramics, sewn or crocheted pieces, jewelry, candles, handmade cards, tiny paintings—or homemade treats like bread, baked goods, infused butters, jams, syrups, spice blends, or something else your wonderfully wild mind comes up with.
Your gifts can all be the same or each be different, and they don’t need to be elaborate or perfect. Small, thoughtful, and made by you is exactly what we’re aiming for!
If you’re bringing something edible, please package it individually and include a list of ingredients and any common allergens.
