Handbuilding Pottery for Adults - Speckled Clay

Adults need art exploration, too! Come spend two hours getting your hands dirty with clay and learning the basics of hand building pottery.
This is a free-build class, which means you get to decide what you want to make! Create a cup, bowl, plate, small sculpture, or whatever your heart desires, as long as it fits within our size guidelines. All experience levels are welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned clay artists.

What you'll learn:
You'll start with 15–20 minutes of instruction covering the basics of hand building techniques. After that, you'll have plenty of time to work independently and an instructor available to help along the way.
This session features speckled stoneware clay, which gives finished pieces that trendy, natural speckled look.
Each participant receives:
3 lbs of speckled stoneware clay, enough for a cup, bowl, plate, or small sculpture
Colored underglazes to decorate your piece before firing
Final clear glaze, applied after the first firing to make your piece durable and food-safe
