Discover creating with clay in this fun and welcoming beginner handbuilding pottery class. This four-week, project-based course is designed for those with little or no experience and will introduce students to the fundamental techniques of creating pottery by hand.
Students will learn the basics of working with clay, including construction techniques, surface decoration, and finishing methods. Projects will focus on essential handbuilding techniques, including coil and slab building. Students will create a variety of pieces while developing their creativity and confidence with clay.
Each week will build upon the skills learned previously, allowing students to complete several unique projects while exploring texture, form, and design. All materials, glazes, and firings are included.
No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and be ready to get your hands dirty!
