Gold Coast heavies HAMMERS announce the commencement of a rolling tour campaign, in celebration of the release of their long-awaited debut album DEATH WOBBLES, due out on Friday 23 January 2026 via Summerland Records.The DEATH WOBBLES album tour will see the band kick-off with a string of dates along the eastern seaboard of Australia, performing the new tracks for the very first time. 3 years in the making, DEATH WOBBLES is an album steeped in post-hardcore and alternative metal flavours and marks a significant progression for HAMMERS, both sonically and spiritually. The group pushing their own creative boundaries and the very confines of what it means to be a heavy, Australian band in the 21st century.
The album, boasting recently released singles TOP FUN, FUCKED AROUND & FOUND OUT (nominated for ‘Video of the Year’ at the 2025 Gold Coast Music Awards), TRAPS and most recently the title track DEATH WOBBLES, thematically traverses nihilism, apathy and the weakness of the human condition - both socially and politically. The delivery method of being wrapped in the heaviest of riffs, emotive hooks, screams, grooves and that signature HAMMERS ratbag; only certifies this opus’ potential to burn it’s way through the hearts and ears of the unsuspecting listener - local and abroad.
Assembling their team of world class Mix Engineer Forrester Savell and local production King’s Michael Campbell (She Cries Wolf, Vengeance, Deficit) and Luke Palmer (Dead Letter Circus, Boo Seeka, Jacob Lee and 2024 GCMA’s Producer of the Year), DEATH WOBBLES as a whole injects a uniquely Australian and compelling spin on contemporaries such as Every Time I Die, He Is Legend, Better Lovers, Stray From The Path, Alexisonfire, The Bronx, Thrice, The Barbarians of California, as well as nods to classics in the realm of Alice In Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Helmet and Soundgarden.
Firmly flying the flag for the Australian independent music community, HAMMERS’ uncompromising wares have continually transcended any roadblocks in their way, striking an unforgettable balance between flippant fun and searing substance without sacrificing genuine craftsmanship. Equally in-demand onstage as they are for their diverse sonic smorgasbord, HAMMERS ticked off their first international tour in 2024, headlining in New Zealand and Japan, and have previously shared stages with the likes of He Is Legend, Cog, Mammal, and The Butterfly Effect, as well as their own renowned headline shows.
