I am a staff nurse working on Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) at University Hospitals of North Midlands. I am currently fundraising in order to raise funds for our unit in order to purchase a piece of life saving equipment called the ‘vein finder’. This equipment will enable practitioners to be able to gain intravenous/arterial access in extremely shut down babies/children that come into us, therefore enabling them to receive life saving treatment rapidly to improve their overall outcome! This equipment has many benifits to our patients, including using high tech ultrasound technology which will also enable various organs to be scanned, for example the heart, kidneys etc. By being able to scan these organs patient diagnosis will be clearer much earlier on allowing for the best treatment to be given.
I am holding a Halloween fundraising event on the 26th October 2024 (7pm until midnight) at the Pear Tree Club in Rugeley in order to support this cause. The event will include a DJ, glitter tattoos and lots of fun games. A prize for the best fancy dress costume will be up for grabs for both adults and children and the chance of winning lots of prizes. The Burger Brothers UK van will be attending the event in order to purchase hot food and a bar available to purchase drinks.
There will also be a large raffle, guess how many sweets in the jar and a lucky dip so make sure you bring some cash if you would like to be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes on the night. I will update this page with prizes up for grabs!
