Halifax Civic Trust is delighted to invite you to a special private visit to the Archives Department at the Central Library, Halifax, on Wednesday 10 June at 10.00am.
This exclusive visit, arranged especially for Halifax Civic Trust members and friends, will be led by archivist Ruth Cummings and offers a fascinating insight into the work of the archive team and the remarkable historical records they care for.
During this two-hour session, Ruth will provide an introductory talk explaining:
• How to search for and find documents
• The wide range of records and materials held within the archives
• Examples of original documents and archive items for visitors to view
Whether you are interested in local history, family history, or simply curious about the hidden stories of Halifax’s past, this promises to be an engaging and informative morning which may inspire further exploration into your own history and that of the local area.
