Join us for a guided walking food tour of Halifax Borough Market, sampling dishes and specialties from some of the best eateries and hidden gems in the Halifax area, all served up by local independent market traders. Over two hours, you’ll have the chance to savour a curated selection of tastes and flavours from Halifax and around the world, as well as learning about the market’s rich history.

• 2 Hour Guided Market Tour: Your market tour guide will take you on a journey through the market’s history and its impact on the town of Halifax, and share with you mouth-wateringly good food stories from both past and present.
• 4 Surprise Food & Drink Stops: Sample a curated selection of vegetarian and vegan treats, including two sit down tasting stops. The food varies on each tour but may include: homemade baked goods, award-winning pies, American diner style small plates, authentic Asian food, artisanal cheeses, tasty plant-based dishes, and delicious drinks from around the world.
• Meet Local Traders: Chat with vendors and stall owners, hearing firsthand about their craft, recipes, and the stories behind their business.

• The tour will start at 1.30pm promptly. Please arrive at least 5 minutes beforehand.
• There will be vegetarian options and at least one vegan per stop on this tour.
• If you have any allergies, please make sure to check with each food trader before tucking in!
• Due to the nature of creating a well-balanced and thoughtful culinary experience, many of our tours are unable to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. Please do prior to booking your tour to see if we are able to accommodate your dietary needs.
• There will be some walking involved, both indoor and outdoors, please wear comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather.
• Please bring your own bottle of water with you. Drinks are available to buy on the tour if preferred.
