It wouldn't be half term without a painting session at Heart of Handmade!
This time we'll be taking inspiration from talented artists who paint "in the negative." Children will first play with colour, mixing and blending, to create a base to their picture, then they'll use stencils and mark making to decorate this base. Next, they'll draw the subject of their picture (eg flowers, plants, birds etc) before finally painting the negative spaces around and in between the subject to create a wonderfully colourful finished painting with beautiful effects!
The recommended age for this class is 5 and up, but adults would also enjoy participating in this class so it might be worth booking to paint alongside your child. Children aged 8+ may attend unaccompanied, provided that the required parental consent forms are completed at least 24 hours before the class.
Supervising adult tickets are free with each child ticket, but adults wishing to participate will require their own ticket.
Tea, coffee, cordial and snacks will be provided.
