Main Gathering Weekend: February 20–21

The creation of the forests of Tāne comes from one kernel.
🌿 Kia ora koutou,
Hakea Gathering is a community-led gathering celebrating connection, creativity, regenerative living, music, learning, and our relationship with the natural world.
Held on the Hakea land project near Raglan, the gathering brings together people of all ages to share knowledge, stories, art, music, food, and meaningful connection. Rooted in care for people and the Earth, Hakea is a space for conscious celebration, personal growth, and remembering what becomes possible when community comes together.
🌕 The Full Moon Gathering
Our main gathering weekend centres around the full moon weekend of February 20–21.
The gathering begins on Wednesday, February 17th, allowing plenty of space for connection, workshops, music, and community before the full moon weekend arrives.
To support everyone's wellbeing and allow time to gently integrate the energy of the gathering, our final evening together will be Sunday, February 21st, with the gathering space closing on Monday, February 22nd.
This extra day creates space to rest, ground, connect, and transition thoughtfully before returning home.
Whether you're here for a few days or the full journey, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect, contribute, learn, celebrate, and simply be.
🌀 Co-Creators & Supporter Tickets
Hakea is intentionally kept small, with space for approximately 80 people.
To attend, you must either be a co-creator or hold a supporter ticket.
Supporter tickets are not released publicly straight away. Instead, we follow a gradual process that honours those who have helped shape the gathering over the years.
1️⃣ Co-creators receive the private ticket link first and may share it with close friends and whānau.
2️⃣ One month later, any remaining spaces are offered to previous years' supporters.
3️⃣ One month after that, if spaces remain, tickets may be released publicly.
This approach helps us maintain the community spirit of Hakea while ensuring the gathering remains welcoming, respectful, and connected to its roots.

✨ An Intimate Gathering
The available land is limited, inviting a more intimate and heart-connected experience.
Rather than creating a large festival environment, Hakea focuses on meaningful connection, participation, and community.
We encourage carpooling where possible to make the most of available space.

A: Absolutely. Hakea is a family-friendly gathering, and tamariki are an important part of the experience.

Q: Can I bring my dog or pet?
A: We kindly ask that all pets stay at home.
Only the animals who live at Hakea will be present during the gathering. These animals are already part of the ecosystem and rhythms of the land.
To support harmony for people, animals, and the wider environment, please arrange care for your pets before attending.
