Habitats Day - for Home Educated Children
About this Event
Habitats day for home educated children, led by experienced outdoor practitioners.
This tailored day supports the Primary School Curriculum and is suitable for ages 4 - 12.
The best way to learn is through hands-on experiences. Bring the curriculum to life and explore the wonders of animals from different habitats:
- Look for woodland minibeasts, collect and sort them.
- Catch meadow bugs, using a sweep net and observe them up-close.
- Go pond dipping and find some very unusual babies of the animals you normally see above the water...
- Hold our weird and wonderful pets and find out about where in the world they come from.
- Invent an animal with a nature-based craft.
