Titus Andronicus returns to Rossograd with her spoils of war; Tamora, Queen of Goths. Determined to take revenge for the lives lost, she tortures and sacrifices Aurelia, eldest daughter of the captured Queen. Fuelled by her grief and hatred, there begins a bitter feud between the state and their captives, one that will not end until nothing remains.

Set in a country locked in the dynamics of a Cold War, Burning Saint Theatre’s adaptation of ‘Titus Andronicus’ refocuses the narrative onto the experiences of women during conflict, the cost of motherhood during war, and questions the value placed upon the female body within warfare.
