About this Event
In 2025, hundreds of people got stuck in with meadow creation at the City Stadium, as part of Wild Ouseburn. This involved removing turf, which was reshaped to create a more undulating landscape at the City Stadium. These mounds will provide a new topographical features, an in turn new habitat microclimates for wildlife.
Already they've been an incredible visual success for people walking through, so we’ve been given permission by the Newcastle City Council Parks team to create some more!
Join us on Saturday 7th February between 1pm and 3pm to design and create these new features. There's no need to book, just turn up on the day. If you'd like a reminder sent across a couple of days before, feel free to sign up for a free ticket!
WHAT TO BRING
Everyone is welcome, all tools and gloves will be provided. Just bring clothes and shoes that are suitable for the weather, and that you don’t mind getting muddy – you might like to bring a drink and snacks too. You can stay for as long or as little as you like.
MEETING POINT
Please note that the map does not show the meeting point, it shows the general location of City Stadium. The meeting point is at the 'original City Stadium meadow'(near the Taylor Made coffee van). What3Words: . If you arrive after 2pm, look for us nearby! You're welcome to contact us if you have any questions about the day.
