Fel rhan o dathliadau Storiel 10 (Deg mlynedd o Amgueddfa a Oriel Gwynedd fod ar agor ym Mangor) maen fraint gwahodd yr artist Erin Hughes i wneud gweithdy fydd yn cyd fynd hefo’r technegau mae hi wedi defnyddio yn ei arddangosfa Floored / Flawed sydd yn arddangos tan Medi 26 yn Storiel .
Yn y gweithdy yma by Erin yn dangos technegau niferus i baratoi a creu dyluniadau drwy techneg Marmori . Mae marmori papur yn ddull o ddylunio arwyneb dyfrllyd, a all gynhyrchu patrymau tebyg i farmor llyfn neu fathau eraill o gerrig . Mae'r patrymau yn ganlyniad i liw sy'n arnofio ar naill ai dŵr plaen neu hydoddiant gludiog o'r enw maint (Sizing) ac yna wedi'i drosglwyddo'n ofalus i arwyneb amsugnol, fel papur neu ffabrig neu hyd yn oed croen i greu dyluniadau lliwgar syn dal y llygad .
Gweithgaredd hwyl addysgol ir teulu ydi hwn ac i blant 8+. By gofyn i pob blentyn syn mynychu gael ei goruchwylio gan rhiant .
As part of Storiel 10 celebrations (Ten years of Gwynedd’s Museum and Gallery being open in Bangor), we are honoured to invite the artist Erin Hughes to run a workshop that goes hand in hand with the techniques she has used in her current exhibition Floored // Flawed, which is on show until September 26 at Storiel.
In this workshop, Erin will show numerous techniques to prepare and create designs using the marbling technique. Paper marbling is a method of designing a watery surface, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other types of stone. The patterns result from colour floating on either plain water or a viscous solution called sizing, and then carefully transferred onto an absorbent surface, like paper or fabric, or even leather, to create eye-catching colorful designs.
This is a fun educational activity for families and is suitable for children 8+. Every child attending must be supervised by a parent.
