GVC Presents: After Elvis

Katoomba has a deep & rich hiphop history. From Aria nominated rap group ‘The Thundamentals’ to Elefant tracks co-founder ‘Urthboy’, the hiphop ties in the Mountains run deep. It's been 7 long years since the Gearins along with the Roxy Room shut its doors, leaving Katoomba’s Hiphop artists without a place to call home. Past monthly events like ‘Toasted Loops’ & ‘Jack City’ were home for Katoomba’s younger nightlife month in and month out. These events were a starting point for so many young & upcoming Blue Mountains artists and was a breeding ground for hiphop. This drought finally comes to an end. August 14th marks the first of a new monthly event, ‘GVC Presents’ is coming to ‘The Vault’ once a month from Aug onward. Glenview Collective (GVC) are a 7 piece hiphop outfit based in the upper mountains - after success co-headling Winter Magic alongside some of the biggest acts in the country like Horrorshow & Future Shade, GVC are bringing the thunder to Katoomba.
