SONIC SOUL is well known for their powerful shows their music is totally improvised so what you hear is for the first time and the next moment the last. From Monk to Funk. Blues, Latin Jazz, Tribal, Meditative moving seamlessly through the different genres creating a totally unique form in the moment. The musicians are all world class Improvisers masters of their instruments.
GUS MANCINI known as the Sultan Of Sonic Soul, 83 years young, is a master of improvisational Saxophone extending the boundaries of the instrument. He has a very varied musical career spanning more than 65 years a Bs in music from NYU. Mancini has performed with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra and Hudson Valley Philharmonic, The Great Cathedral Saint John Divine NY City. Toured world wide performing with the elite of many different genres. Now a Woodstock Round-table family member Wdst.com 100.1 Radio show for 27 years playing live on air sharing his musical compositions now nearly 400 times. Currently Leader of a totally free improvisational group for 15 years with an alumni of more than 75 world class musicians here in the Hudson Valley Woodstock and beyond. BRIAN MELICK is a Musician, Educator, Author, Composer, and Entrepreneur has been professionally involved in music since the early age of 13. Featured recording artist on over 500 commercially released recordings to date on independent as well as major labels highlighted by his seven solo projects, “Percussive Voices” Hudson Valley Records (debut at 23 on the World Music Chart), “Diverse Elements”, “uduboy”, “In Motion”, “Diverse World”, “Perpetual Motion”, and “The Art Of Udu” Gene Michael Productions.
MARK DZIUBA has been a guitarist, improviser and composer for most of his life. He has performed with a who’s who of musicians internationally and has taught and performed at workshops for over 40 years. Mark is currently a tenured professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz where he directs the Jazz Studies program. He was a part of the internationally acclaimed National Guitar Workshop for 25 years.
