The home specification changed in 2020. Most Gurgaon buyers are still using the 2019 checklist.

Before 2020, a Gurgaon home was evaluated on: location, price, floor, facing, developer.

The work-from-home specification — what it actually requires

A dedicated study room or convertible space

Not a desk in the bedroom. Not a corner of the living room. A door that closes, a space that is acoustically separated from the household, and enough square footage for a proper workstation.

Fibre internet infrastructure — not all projects are equal

Some Gurgaon projects have pre-laid fibre conduits to every unit — enabling 1 Gbps connectivity from day one. Others rely on building-wide shared infrastructure that degrades under load.
